the promo was good, but the novel disappoints. it's pretty bland, and it was annoying how dense mc was for the sake of entertaining the readers; there's a limit as to how dense someone who is supposedly clever can be so long for... and the ml fell for mc for no apparent reason? like he fell for Dorothea bc they happened to be at the right place at the right time- basically, her beauty... anyway, mc replaced her, thus he kinda fell for her early on. ml is pretty bland. like, how did he not know of dorothea's bratty and self-centered nature yet still loved her? he must be under drugs... in the current timeline, he detests her due to her personality, which is weird BC IN THE ORIGINAL TIMELINE HE SEEMED TO BE A BLIND FACE-CON?? LIKE WHY IS HIS VALUES SO DIFFERENT NOW?
