it's fun and engaging, the boys' antic r funny, and it has surprising depth despite the premise, but it feels directionless sometimes. my biggest gripe is the dialogue; is it an issue of translation? it feels like a narration of their feelings and actions... its more suited for inner dialogue, cuz no one says these things aloud. It's stiff and breaks my enjoyment bc of how bad it is. another thing is the appearance of the mom... like it was so random, no foreshadowing whatsoever. the manhua also lacks buildup and tension.

i want to know more about mc's life in the cities, and his relationship with his parents, since there is one scene of the furniture maker wondering about that. the art is quite lovely. not surprised if mc and furniture maker marries in the future; their relationship is wholesome and realistic
