The Girl and the Geek

Complete | Huryunhwa,Dagab | 2000 released

An interesting take on a couple that I’ve never seen before. It’s great! While at first the characters have their own flaws that make them a bit annoying; the author actually takes the time to acknowledge it throughout the story. Slowly they change because of each other but not too much. The male lead is still such an otaku who loves games and the female lead is still a clean freak. Yet they go together so well! But seriously the way the male lead handles other people besides Ms.Go is freaking hilarious!

Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai

Complete | Oouta Rie | 2000 released

Now this was such a cute fluffy manga. It was so great watching the way they all grew up. How they became friends and how they dealt with their relationships. It was even better to see them tackle real life issues that happen when you ‘grow up,’ but still aren’t realizing what that truly means. Getting your first period. Having your first crush. These are things I never thought I’d read about in a manga. I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Pika Ichi

Complete | maki youko | 2010 released

This is one of those stories that start off great and end terribly. When two shy students decide to become ‘delinquents’ in order to liberate their school from its prestigious bull crap, they end up not changing very much in the end. Just exposing the bullies and having no one face consequences. What’s worse is that the romance doesn’t go anywhere. Like at all. We’re not even sure if the leads even like each other by the end of the story. It’s sad because the art was amazing and it started off so good.

Beauty Bunny

Complete | Yoshino Mari | 2000 released

I’ll be honest; I’m the type of trash that is completely in love with a guy like Iorin, who teases so much and goes for kisses without permission but the whole forced and tied up scene was too much. My guy was to thirsty for some p*ssy. XD As for Oto-kun? I didn’t like him from the start. He seemed way to suspicious for me, and I mean in the ‘don’t be suspicious,’ vibe. Honestly I didn’t care how nice he was I never felt like his feelings were genuine. Still I guess I can see where he’s coming from? Idk. He still gave me weird vibes until the end. It was obvious that Mika-Chan was Mika-Chan from the beginning. I’m trying not to spoil it but I knew it. Still their relationship is very sweet and I love that she got a happy ending. The whole Himiko x The female lead who’s name I forgot; at the beginning had me double checking the tags! I loved it!

Kusumi-kun, Kuuki Yometemasu ka?

Complete | Mosuko | 2000 released

It’s own of those good romance shoujo manga that’s a slow burn but a nice slow burn. The way the panels are drawn make it really easy on the eyes but the art is still seen in the way that even the characters with blank expressions can convey emotions. I just wish we could see more of everyone else all grown up.
