REVIEW TIME! There's no plot spoilers, just general critique of characters and writing. :) TL;DR at the very bottom. All in all; it's not great. The Female Lead is really a bit too randomly dumb for my taste. She feels like a mixture of parts of multiple female leads we have seen before, mashed into one because: Why tf not? Not a fan of her weir dlogic in so many moments and her Mary Sue character/story traits. These kinda characters are very obnoxious to me. It might work perfectly as kiddie content, but more mature audiences will likely not find her appealing. She's too bland and undeveloped as a character. The male lead, oh boy. He DOES have appeal but he looses it after another two speech bubbles EVERY TIME. He's also a composition of random favourite traits the author saw. And his mysophobia is treated as a plot device for fun moments rather than it being an impactful mental illness I believe. The family members are horseshit, all of them. Even worse in a way than the ACTUAL Cinderella stepsiblings; because THOSE are at least fleshed out and have the typical villain-appeal that makes you love-hate them when they are on screen. Not the case with these people. They are also kinda like plot devices tbh, because 2 of them don't even exist in the comic unless they need to elevate the poor heroine's miserableness. And then, POOF, they are gone again. The writing is bland and I honestly do not have an interest in waiting for another chapter. It's just too bland, too boring and predictable and not interesting even in the bigger picture as we all know exactly how this will go (16 chapters so far and I already know how it'll turn out). Even the DIALOGUE is unimpressive and bland. Which I find sad. The art is however nice. Which is sadly the only good thing to note. There are a few issues in terms of anatomy mistakes, but it stays consistant in general where it matters and it's neither too undetailed nor too generic looking, which is nice. It's nothing impressive but despite my high standards I do not find it lacking (except for the anatomy issues, goddamn those hands stepmom had XD). I think this would be a good comic to get younger readers, with little to no experience, introduced to these kinda medieval plots. It's not too much to be overwhelming and can introduce them to the general plot bases, so that if they like those plots they can read more and get into more complicated stuff. :) I would honestly not recommend this and I have no interest in reading more. But for those out there looking for a VERY simple story while not caring about good logic and writing (or even interesting dialogue), then this is for you. People who want an interesting, exciting story should really look elsewhere. The author might need a lot of practice but this one work is no reason to avoid them, so I'm hoping for improvement in the future. TL;DR: Art is decent and consistant in style and story is basic af but good to introduce new readers to this genre. Everything else, MC and all characters as well as writing are bland, boring and uninteresting.
