There are some problems with this story, but the cynicism of Tamaki comes across really well. Yuto's narcisism doesn't seem to be more than skin deep, because it's totally connected to his sense of self-confidence and that gets a blow by Tamaki's cold beauty and indifference towards him.
One of the more abvious things wrong with this story is the fact that our protagonists never do anything related to safe sex. Or get Tamaki tested for anything.
