Ok, this sums up my feelings: "I wish someone erased my memories about this manga so I can read this again." You know what, there are lots of mangas/ stories with similar plot and storyline. But the thing that made this one fulfilling or to say worth the time wasn't the miraculous plot-twists or the narrative discreoancy (?)- it was simply the ending. Yes, MC didn't take his revenge until the very end. But so what? He was able to be happy or at least is starting to lead a better life with no regrets. TT-TT Spoiler: This was truly a rollercoaster. Actually, both of MC's personalities have their strong points and backlashes. I prefer the Hachinoi EIji one more though. Ok, it's totally not because he is more handsome alright? Anyways, as an afterthought, I'd like to say that this has probably one of the best endings that a revenge-plot series could offer. Even though the killer is caught, nothing changes- there is no definite definition of retribution you know. To me, imprisoning or getting a serial killer life sentence isn't justice. Death sentence is a better choice cause those killers shouldn't get to see the light of the day again. Well, maybe that's what they prefer. I think rotting in their grave suits better as a punishment that living in the world in prison for them you know... SPOILER: Yes, my child, you managed to clear your father's name in the end. TT-TT What was realistic is that the killer never atoned and satisfying thing was that the play didn't end the way he wanted. I guessed he was the killer at 2/5th part of the story ut again, my guess was merely one of the possibilities in a realm of speculation. I'm glad Urashima Eiji went into slumber in peace. He didn't disappear all at once, his soul fragments mixed within Hachinoi Eiji still remains alive. That is, like all second/ multiple personalities, he is living inside the main host. TT-TT I do think MC (Hachinoi) felt a connection with that Youko girl. The thing that made this better was that the women were not simply decorations, they played their roles excellently be the good ones or bad ones. P.S2- Remembering MC's father's promise made me tear up quite a it. It's extremely sad that his father wanted to help others in need and brought upon doom onto his own wife and kid. Imagine, if only MC's mother was alive, maybe she could live peacefully knowing that her husband wasn't a killer after all. TT-TT I can't blame her though, even knowing she hit MC thinking of the fact that she gave to a murderer'd child. I'm content imagining that in the afterlife both of them can reunite, by both I meant MC's mother and father btw...
