Wolf In The House

Complete | park ji-yeon | 2000 released

the supernatural aspect of it develops well and the author balanced heavy themes with comedic drawing styles or casual scenes. you'll be able to witness three couples with different yet harmonic relationships that tie them together. the main couple has a casual romantic relationship, the second uncovers mafia related action, while the third dwells on the separation of human and werewolf. it is a satisfying read because there arent loose ends and the plot does not stray away even if there are 3 stories weaved together. it's also a plus that the author could draw sensual sex scenes, really feeling how they're e treating each other tenderly and lovingly.

Cover Up

Complete | gyaga | 2019 released

The lack of life for the confined person is realistic, im glad that it doesnt romantasize being confined and shows how mentally taxing it is. tattoos are given value and roots the character's personalities. even so, im still curious what Seung jae's original tattoo looks like. im also glad that minwook's pov is explained in the end while giving him a redemption arc to give up before the other person really kills himself.

The Voice Next Door

Complete | Ahn Eunjin, SeolockT | 2000 released

comedic and wholesome. it's sad that good looks weigh heavily in the beginning of the relationship but the way Jaehyun accepted Jaeseok after knowing his secret is heart warming.

From Points of Three

Complete | White Eared | 2017 released

the second story doesnt feel complete, as if there's a foreshadowing in that last panel. But still, I enjoyed reading it and learning how psychologically confusing role playing could be. also, Heejae is literally the man who screams wolf or how the idiom goes. Its amazing how Jisuh can maintain his relationship with him after being manipulated by Heejae. not only that, they can still roleplay and have Heejae dominate him (the only sign that Heejae changed is how Jisuh can also dominate him in terms of the relationship)

At the End of the Road

Complete | Haribo | 2016 released

1. The pacing for the plot is nice, each of the panels matter to the story. 2.I'm sad that Siwon was treated as anotber body and tool for the plot to keep rolling. He was raped goddammit. 3. I feel sad that I didnt get to see more of Taemin's actual body 4. I'm conflicted with Minjoo (?) because on one hand he was true to his words but on the other he made Taemin go around circles. Still, if he didn't, Taemin would have kept running away so I'm glad that the author really made a strong foundation for Taemin's character. Actually, most of the characters have solid personalities and each of their actions and words match "who" they are. It's only Siwon that I feel bad about because he was really made into a tool. I couldn't even get a good grasp of who he is except that he cares about his relationship with his twin. Besides, for a smart person and "likeable" person like Siwon and with the CDs going around, wouldn't he have earned more pity than have people bully him (ok fine, being bullied is not improbable) and if they were so rich, the parents wouldve known about the CD and know that he was raped. Siwon was written as a loser and was treated as such that it somehow contradicted the likeable and "stole everything from me" twin.

Heesu in Class 2

Complete | Lily | 2017 released

This is EVERYTHING ️. No unnecessary quarrels or obstacles because everything just happens for the sake of the plot. Heesu and Seongwon are so wholesome! When one pulls away, the other push themselves closer towards them. Maybe it didnt have to take 8 years for Sunwoo and Dahm to meet again and it's sad to leave us hanging. Still, seeing as Sunwoo actually waited and was happy for Dahm to get back to him, those two will be alright. And my heart just erupts for Seongwon and Heesu's couple ring and how Seongwon called Heesu his husband.

Back to School

Complete | Oryu | 2019 released

tbh, i didnt like how passive chiwoo was until i understood why he seemed incapable of taking action. although i admit, i expected too much from him. poor boy, he suffered from Jihyun's twisted expression of love. thus, im so happy whenever Kyujin appears and saves Chiwoo from breaking down under Jihyun's pressure. also, I'm glad that it ended this way. no, i dont want to ship chiwoo with jihyun because the latter is filled with hatred and violence. he isnt fit for any romantic relationship at all. but a "what if" situation could work for me because if Chiwoo confronted Jihyun's feelings then it could habe changed their future even just a little. Im happy for Chiwoo and Kyujin. Just like Chiwoo, i also hope that thoigh therenare acts that are unforgivable, Jihyun could redeem himself and grow to be a better person than his father. im just glad Jihyun still has a big brother looking out for him.

Jazz for two

Complete | Clarju | 2000 released

i- here are 2 songs that played in my head: too sad to cry by sasha sloan and life moves on by finneas. not jazz but they just played in my head. the story began awkwardly and the dialogue sounded unnatural. however, when the underlying conflict surfaced, i began to admire the straightforwardness of the dialogue. the songs used and the character building matched even when the pacing was somehow slow, like listening to jazz (i tried listening to a few of the songs, starting from lucky to be me by monica zetterlund). too sad to cry began playing in my head when the truth about Jaejun's suicide unraveled. life moves on played when they were slowly coming into terms with it. also, i can picture the first season as a musical. the second was more serious and fit for a movie. my emotional and sentimental heart breaks and heals while reading this. especially because of how impactful Jaejun's suicide was...

Star x Fanboy

Complete | Kim Cheomji | 2000 released

I know the art style is cute but I cant help but think of the worse possible outcomes hahaha. Then i realize, this one is meant to be fluffy and highlighting the passion and determination of an aspiring actor who got to meet and be in a relationship with his idol. Thats why even if i enjoyed it, im still tense the whole time hahaha. Also, i want to emphasize on the childlike character of Fanboy. He might seem like a dreamer or childish that doesnt connect to reality but it is this trait of his that i envy the most. Each waking hours is driven by his purpose to be better in acting which makes him vibrant and more lively. Just as what i learned from socrates, it is best not to lose the curiosity of a child. Star is totally adorable and down to earth, it’s almost scary. Im glad that the author showed how human he is with his ‘negative’ traits.

Undercover

Complete | Xavier Mayne,Pyeongcho | 2000 released

i live for the art style but the story telling needs imorovement. the plot wouldve actually taken longer than 24 chapters and there is a weak characterization going on. in the beginning, both police officers have strong distaste for gays or at least the display of male nudeness. the part where they mellow down and somehow Brandt got hard happened too fast. there is little emotional connection between the two. basically, the story needs filler chapters where the two becomes more aware of each other instead of dropping the 'i like you' bomb. even the act of being undercover was glossed over, but im just glad the company was actually 'legal'. so personally, this one looks more of a plot outline than the final output.
