Blood Bank

Complete | silb | 2015 released

The overall concept is amazing! Although, the execution is somewhat disorganize and chaotic, the message surfaces. The art is pleasing and fitting to the concept of apocalypse and supernatural. The conclusion is also promising because it opens a new story instead of capping it off. I'm a little disappointed that Eric's identity stopped at acceptance but i guess everyone's identity in the story showed enough to keep the theme vampire x human going. I was expecting his identity to be more flambouyant, but the author did great at keeping it more of a subtle and invisible trait that is helping the world adjust to a new system of equity. bottomline: this is more of a societal documentary that included key people's love story.

Raising a Bat

Complete | Jade | 2015 released

the lack of communication occurs 70% of the time and i witnessed agonizing push and pull between the characters. im glad that even when Mingweon was emotionally compromised and ran away, he was anchored by his lover, lover's family, and sister. Most of the characters are problematic but the author does not romanticize them. the author shows just how difficult it is for a relationship to last when there is no communication and trust. and i like that about this. it showed character development, realistic concerns, and growth.

I-ren

Complete | aivan | 2000 released

If anything, it's tragic. The plot is promising and although complicated, it managed to become comprehensive even if I'm personally unsatisfied in the end.

Haru and Vampire

Complete | SAKURABA CHIDORI | 2000 released

Haru is a mangaka who stumbled upon the supernatural world at an old shopping district. There, he met Isaac, a vampire coffee bartender. Alongside him was a werewolf who own a shop and a fox who works at a pharmaceutical company. In hopes of finishing his work, Haru decides to model his vampire character to Isaac. Yet doing so unfolded memories which caused a drift or silent distance between Isaac and Haru. Nonetheless, Haru was determined to immortalize both the memory and the unexpected love they both mutually share. [wholesome and slightly a cliffhanger]
