Ways of Parting
This was heavy but bearable, like the angst was DELICIOUS. I love the complexity of the characters?? Yoon and taejung(?), and kwon as well. Idk about saewoon(?) tho bc there's not much story behind him. I love how the author took time to build up the relationships, to form the thoughts of the characters. I think i learnt so much about this story, bc it's definitely not something that I gravitate towards to (coma, love square, etc.) But im not regretting it in one bit. I literally finished this shit in one sitting and it's almost 6 am rn. Wow. And how everything fell back into place? Beautiful. I loveeeee yoon taking time for himself and literally not having to choose between the 2 men. And i love taejung for sorting out his emotions and mental health. I also appreciate how the author didn't rush the ending? That really stood out to me. I expected everything to end abruptly, but no. The author really spent enough time and chaps to draw and make it known to us how everybody is doing throughout the process, and how everyone is doing after the climax. It was a satisfying ending that didn't leave any questions. 10/10
Dark Heaven
This is one of the stories that I was not really anticipating on reading whenever I come across it. Maybe it's bc I've known it to be a dark story since it's a popular one. I tried going at it years ago, but stopped due to reasons I've never remembered. Now, I figured to just read it, even by force, bc I don't want fear to be my enemy. Tbh I was scared getting into this bc I didn't know what to expect, and I was right. I've read A LOT more fucked up shit in my life, but this one is different from them. It's realistic, and that's what makes it scary. It hits home so much for me as an asian bi, and it gave powerful moments in it that made me want to tattoo it in my forehead. There's some plots that I could not really understand that much since it gets overloaded sometimes, but i got the gist of it. SIMON AND CONOR OH MY GOD. I LOVE THEM. My babies. All throughout their lives, all they wanted was to be accepted without any malice and to live a life together. I love how simon was willing to do EVERYTHING for conor, and when i meant everything, I meant EVERYTHING. IK conor would do the same, but ofc he had other issues to deal w such as facing racism and all. I love how he was the one who went back to simon and mend their relationship. All simon sees was conor, and i could see it thru his actions. BITXH I JUST KNEW HE WOULD TAKE THE BULLET FOR CONOR. I JUST KNEW IT. AND VERONICA? I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS PULLING THOSE SHIT FROM BEHIND I STG. Gale and prosecutor got me feeling some type of way ngl. Gale somehow has a soft spot for conor, which answered his wishy-washy character bc he ended up killing the person who was hired to kill conor despite wanting him to be killed like?? But either way I hope he gets the therapy he deserves. If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would. Because this deserves a 1000/10.
