There was a strong power play with a lot of hidden references and a hidden lore that is really fascinating to unravel. In a moment of desperation, a mysterious magic ring lashes out due to her wishes and bewitches a handsome duke into becoming a mushy mess; that is- until their first night together in which the duke is finally returned to his senses! It’s a cool plot but honestly not well executed, not my preference as it makes me almost cringe from how awkward this is but it’s okay I guess (35)
