Oh god wow, where do I start..
When I first saw this I had this impression that Kanae is one of those "beautiful, but cold hearted boy who would probably make his gentle seme cry." I thought it would be the same old, angsty story where a character with a history of abuse will be a challenge, will be complex asf and we would spend the whole story reading how he learns to fall in love and have it end where his feelings are still ambigous. I thought Haiga would do all the chasing, the cliche "I'll make your tsundere ass fall for me. Reject me but will realize that you love me all along."
BOY I WAS DEAD WRONG.
I never expected Kanae to be the more "emotional" and raw of the two of them. He's just too fucking beautiful inside and out. Even if he has this dead expression on his face, you just know that his love for Haiga is so real. I physically felt the relief and happiness when they were gonna move in together like I was glad theyre not letting each other go. They're both treasures that deserves each other's love. It's been so long since I read a substantial, beautiful BL manga, I'll be making sure to buy this one.
