I like the story enough to stick through it but the teacher is becoming more annoying with each passing chapter T_T and I want to like her too! Possible spoilers below: Time and time again, she puts not only herself but also her students in danger by being willfully ignorant of the situation; multiple situations actually which always end up w/ her needing to be rescued and who else to save her than the students she's supposed to be protecting?? I completely understand that in-universe, she's a regular person who is putting herself in harm's way to accomplish her teacher's dream (which I admired at first!), however, you'd think she'd realize after the first few times of being assaulted that she's dealing w/ ppl that could and will kill her. There's even a past incident that proves exactly that and is the entire reason why she's doing all of this in the first place! Yet she continues to do things w/o thinking things through. For example, she decided to enter China Town (CT) in the middle of the night w/o looking into the reason why there's so much tension between CT and the Yusong…and she ends up kidnapped. Even if she wasn't aware of the tension, she knows Siwan and Hanwool are connected so that alone should have made her more cautious to begin with. What would've happened to her if the Study Group wasn't there? While the Study Group is saving her, she overhears two very real gangsters casually talking about murder and her brilliant idea is to tell them she's going to call the cops...as they're (students and all) standing in the same room w/ no escape. How did she think the gangsters would respond? After the first fight where a GUN is pulled at them, she still splits up w/ the students and makes Gamin take Siwan even though she just saw someone fire a GUN at them. Other frustrating situations are when: she started the petition and then froze when she had to acknowledge that it was her who did it in front of the school - she only spoke after Gamin had already said his part; when gangsters rushed a café with weapons in their hands and she turned her back to them leaving her in a vulnerable position. Did she think they wouldn't attack her when they've done it multiple times before? All of this tells me that she cares more about her mission than the safety of her students since she's willingly asking for their help despite her knowing someone could be killed which imo would be fine (bc selfish reasons are interesting as long it's acknowledged) except...everyone hero-worships her in the story? That's annoying. IMO she hasn't done anything to be worthy of praise (besides the stabbing scene). She's very reactive rather than proactive which she should be considering what her goal is. When Heewon stood in front of the corrupt police officers and CT group appeared behind her gave me chills! She has the same level as strength as the teacher BUT we're shown Heewon's efforts in wanting to help and that saved them. I think the author wanted to make the teacher be like Heewon but it's not enough to just show the end result (the hero-worship everyone has for her) w/o showing what she did to get that.
