In a society seperated into three 'genders'; Chief Wolves, Guard Dogs and Frost Sheep; Xiu Rui is a Guard Dog. When one of his aquantances is suspected of murder he becomes a person of interest in the investigation. The inveatigator, Ji Xing, is convinced Rui is involved but when evidence no longer supports that theory Rui finds himself working along side the investigator as a consultant. As they become closer Eros becomes jealous and begins to fight for Xiu Rui's attention.
