MANGAreader's manga / #Age gap(7)

Boku no Omawarisan

Complete | Niyama | 2017 released

The story was really interesting and the characters were so good that it felt like I had a connection with them. It really captured my attention and it may be the best policeman yaoi manga that I have read. The sex scenes were really good even though they were not very explicit, which is mainly because of the extremely beautiful art style of the author. I also liked that the straight uke did not have a breakdown or internal crisis convincing himself that he is not gay when he realised that he wanted to date the seme who confessed to him. Also, I liked how slice of life and realistic this story was and the uke admitted in the story that he does not have a ripped body which is great since it is not possible for every guy to look as fit as they do in these manga.

It is one of the first yaoi manga that I discovered and it holds a special place in my heart. Although, it is annoying that the uke does not admit his feelings and he gets mad whenever seme is upset over that or puts distance between them. However, the story is still ongoing so hopefully, we will see progress in the uke's character and one day, he will admit his feelings without being a stupid tsundre. Other than that, I really like the couple and the sex scenes are awesome too. I just cannot wait for new chapters because I want more.

Unfather

Complete | Nelly Kang | 2017 released

The story was very interesting but also very depressing. It was sad to see the mom being dragged into the mess of the seme and uke when she trusted both of them so much, only to sacrifice herself in the end. I really liked the obsessive upperclassman(?) being added to the story as it really made the story much more interesting. I hate sad endings like this because they leave me feeling sad and empty. The mom and everyone except the psycho step dad deserved to have a good ending but he ruined everything. I liked the sex scenes and the art style was not too bad. I love me some older seme and a big age gap is even more captivating but I didn't want the uke to end up with him because he is such a psycho. I really wanted the uke to end up with the upperclassman because he really seemed to care about him but he went too far in the end.

The Perfect Relationship

Complete | Akkang, Sam | 2017 released

First of all, I am going to say that I hate the whole relationship between the son and father. They are both psychotic and having romantic feelings for your father is disgusting even if they are not related by blood. Incest stories involving father/son relationship do not have a good ending in the first place and I've also never understood loving someone to the point where you can ignore all the messed up shit that they do. The friend, Taehyun, who is in love with the son deserves much better than that psycho and I was hoping to see him find true love at the end. However, those wholesome side characters who truly love the uke never end up with them because the uke always wants to go after the one who is hard to get/doesn't love them, which doesn't make sense to me. I really hated the characters, except Taehyun, but I liked the psychological/drama aspects of the story. I also really liked the sex scenes between the uke and his friend but the ones where he has sex with his step-father made me so uncomfortable.
