The Duchess' 50 Tea Recipes

Ongoing | lee jiha,jo hyunyeong | 2019 released

Review: I really like the storyline. The character development is slow, yet subtle. The author has a great way of progressing the story. The protagonist is an intelligent woman with memories from her past life working on finances. This isekai story also integrates financial and marketing tactics to emphasize the business’s role in the story. I like how the plot is going so far, and the art style is a sure plus! The art is very pleasing to look at. I love how their relationship progresses. It’s healthy, loving, and has a sprinkle of intimacy! Comment: oml i binge read the chapters, and it’s really good! i like how it focuses on financial markets and describes the tea in intricate detail. Also, get yourself a man (or woman) *significant other like Alphonse! He’s become so caring and loving. THROW THE WHOLE PARENTS OUT. ON THE GODS. Side note: i have caught up to chapter 90.

The Esteemed Lady of the Tea Garden

Ongoing | Malkkot | 2022 released

It’s a mess. The first chapters especially. The setting has modern countries yet is integrated with fantasy elements. That in itself is forgivable, but the pacing is just too fast. We’re not allowed to fully digest these characters with secret identities and why they place such importance on Camellia (the MC). The ML is clearly set up to have history with the MC, but it’s hard to like/empathize with him when we practically know nothing about him (though this may just be my personal opinion). So many male characters go gaga over her. I get that there’s an underlying story, but the execution is terrible. A majority subplots aren’t given sufficient explanation. Everything feels all over the place. I’m not even sure why I should care about the characters. No one is particularly likable, even the MC. She feels wishy-washy and unoriginal. The writing just isn’t good, but I do think this has potential. Not enjoyable to read. Like a potentially beautiful puzzle missing over half of its pieces.
