When Russian doctor Iosef Kolovsky transfers to the hospital in Melbourne where Annie works as a nurse, he quickly becomes the object of every nurse's desire, but to Annie he's nothing more than another arrogant physician. As they work together, however, Iosef begins to show Annie a gentleness that leaves her heart feeling shaken. One day, Iosef offers to take care of Annie when she is feeling weak from anemia, but then he kisses her!
