Yoji Akutagawa is an exceptional doctor. However, due to his lack of people skills, he's been relegated to handling surgeries only. At home, his nephew Kento recently told him he wants to move out and attend a boarding school once he graduates junior high. Then, at a meeting with Kento's tutor Mr. Yagi, Kento continues to complain about how fed up he is living with a barely-present uncle who always acts apathetic towards everything outside of his work. While Yoji is still reeling from shock, Mr. Yagi begins to take a deeper interest in Yoji and Kento's issues.
