Summary
Sumi Kitamura is a poor average girl living in Meiji Era. To make it worse, she has 6 unrelated by blood baby brothers and sisters, and an older brother that left the town trying to get away from his debts, leaving them on her. In order to get money , Sumi goes wandering through the streets trying to sell herself for two thousand yen (equivalent to 3 million yen in modern-day Japan).
