Mobile Suit Gundam F91

Renewed conflict breaks out after a generation of peace in this continuation of the "Mobile Suit Gundam" anime saga. To accommodate the growing population, the Earth Federation has built new space colonies. But the Crossbone Vanguard decides to seize these cities to help establish its extraterrestrial empire. Now, reluctant hero Seabook Arno and his Gundam F91 must lead a fierce struggle for survival.

After decades of peace, war has started again against Earth Federation and a militant group called the Crossbone Vanguard. They wish to establish the idealized society within space and in order to do that, they have to get rid of the Federation. Enter, Seabook, a teenager who gets thrown into the fight after finding out that his mother helped to design the newest Gundam, the F91.The story pans out a lot like the original Gundam Series without having to marathon the entire series as F91 is a full length movie. Although it doesn't resolve the conflict in the end, you're going to have to look for the manga and the Victory Gundam TV series to do that, F91 introduces a lot of interesting characters and a slew of new Mobile Suits within the movie itself.
