During the Meiji era, in a small village deep in the mountains, Matsu nearly gets devoured by a specter, but is saved by Makami, who is part man, part wolf. Despite his ferocious appearance, he's kind and a true gentleman, and she falls in love with him. When blood spills, the animal in him comes out, but he turns his fangs on himself rather than attacking Matsu. Seeing this, Matsu reaches out to him... and the two become entwined in a passion that burns like wildfire.
