In high school, Junpei once got so absorbed in painting something for the school festival when Makito, his popular classmate, came and talked to him. That turned out to be the one and only time they ever had a memorable conversation together.Six years after their graduation, Makito has returned to their hometown and they had a coincidental reunion. Junpei had given up on doing art and became a Self-Defense Force official but he resigned after he met with an accident and has since been suffering from its aftereffects.
