Regarding Things That Have Not Happened

Dominic Legenon, the legendary slayer who killed a dragon after a thousand years and brought an end to the war, is treated as a threat by the king rather than a hero. Instead of receiving a fitting reward, he is assigned as the guard knight to the royal concubine, Adelaide. Adelaide is surrounded by scandal: she is royalty from a fallen nation living as the concubine of the king who destroyed her country, and every knight previously assigned to her was punished for falling in love with her. Though Dominic initially despises her as a dishonorable woman unworthy of love, their frequent encounters in the library gradually shatter his rigid worldview, making him fall deeply for the very woman he once held in contempt.
