Akiho Hoshioka is an office worker for a fashion company whose hobby is reading lesbian love comics. That genre was the saving grace for Akiho, who grew tired of heterosexual romances after a series of unsuccessful relationships with terrible men. She lives a fulfilling day-to-day, juggling both work and her hobby. Until one day, when a client who takes a liking to her tries to set her up with his son. Akiho agrees on reflex. She holds out hope that it's more of a social event, but no, it's matchmaking through and through. To top it all off, her date Itsuki is so handsome he puts the male characters from comic books to shame! Akiho's heart races for a moment, then she remembers her failed relationships and decides to be honest with the fact that she's not interested in romance. She comes out as a fan of lesbian love comics, hoping it would win her a rejection. What she gets, however, is a confession from Itsuki that he's actually a total nerd for gay love comics. Rejecting Akiho is the farthest thing on Itsuki's mind who now feels a strong connection with her. He pops the question asking her to go out with him and eventually get married! Akiho goes with the flow and says yes to his proposal...
