The magician Elma Luschkan has a beloved disciple and lover, Muska. With his unstable magic, Muska is about to take his final exam at the Magic Association. Before leaving, he proposes to Elma, asking him to go live with him in another country once the exam is over. Elma hesitates to answer, and Muska smiles, saying he can tell him after the exam. He then departs for the capital—only for his cold, severed arm to return in his place. Muska’s mysterious death leaves his body disassembled and scattered across the land as magical artifacts.
