In the kingdom of Chiwa, eight noble families descended from legends hold power, each blessed with a unique ability known as a “spiritual force.” From among these families, the one who possesses the strongest magical power is chosen to become the King of the land. Long ago, the Amaha clan withdrew from the capital, causing a major disruption in the balance of power. But when a bride from the Amaha family was sent to the capital as part of a political agreement, order was restored.
