Lyla is a fledgling medicine-artist (???) who has the supernatural ability to heal. She’s considered the last hope of the world. On an overseas expedition, she meets a beautiful demon-person, Rail, kept in the royal castle. That same night, a coup erupts. Lyla hires Rail as her bodyguard and flees, beginning a journey of escape together… Amid their flight, something grows between them.
