Yang Sheng & Xiaoxue

28-year-old city salary man, Yang Sheng, was tricked into coming home by his parents who arranged a marriage partner for him without his knowledge. Unable to feel attracted to women, Yang Sheng, who had decided to stay single his whole life for the sake of his parents' dignity, met his neighbor Wen Xiaoxue-- a young boy who suffered from the abuse of his father. Wanting to escape from the fetters of his family, whether it was from a place of compassion, or some other reason even he didn't know, Yang Sheng takes Xiaoxue along with him to leave their hometown. Together, they begin an entirely new life that neither of the two of them could have ever imagined before. Throughout their interactions, Yang Sheng holds Xiaoxue to be a member of his own family and his child. Xiaoxue, too, gradually builds up his trust towards Yang Sheng and learns to depend on him. Under encouragement from Yang Sheng, Xiaoxue attends a culinary school to learn the craft of cooking. Bit by bit, he immerses into this new life and gains friends, slowly emerging from his sensitive and withdrawn shell into growing confidence. Because of Xiaoxue, Yang Sheng, as well, begins to experience a kind of happiness and contentedness that had long been lost to him. However, as the shadows from the families they left behind continue threatening to sneak up on them, curious sentiments between the two of them are also beginning to sprout......
