I don't think anyone here has ever equalled coming out as an interest to really coming out as a lgbtq member. We just kind of borrowed the phrase as a symbol of support. Wow I had no idea there was such a big deal of "coming out of the closet as a fujoshi", (i've read BL for a while now, I just learnt that word today, feels a bit weird to use). I think you are overreacting a lot. Obviously people don't think being a fujoshi and "coming out" as one is as harsh as being gay. It's just a figure of speech. Doing something in secret. Some people say the same about liking anime/manga in general. A "closet anime fan" for example. People like to share their interests, which is why it can be hard ...... 1 reply
I'm a straight girl and when i started yaoi, i had no idea it was this popular(and it wasn't THAT popular when i started it) but i hided it even from my closest friends. I was so emberrassed because they would tell things like "why would a girl watch Junjou Romantica" or some shit like that. And telling them that i loved yaoi was not that simple. S...... reply
