It's definitely a real problem in the community. Rape and assault can be written tastefully into a story as long as it's recognised as bad and there's some reason WHY it's in there, along with some kind of consequence. Why are some of y'all on here so afraid to call things out when it's rape or abuse??? Better to recognize that it is an unhealthy relationship than to think it's normal.
