I prefer English subs. Maybe because there are some anime where the dubbing isn't really that good. For me, japanese voice actors are on another level (I may be a bit biased). How they express the feelings of that certain character. How they act out that character. I love it all. I avoid eng dubs because of this one certain anime. I swear when I wa...... reply
I'd always prefer sub over dub. In fact, I'd have to be really desperate to watch something dubbed or it has to be done SO GOOD that I wouldn't mind.
I mean, honestly... Whatever audivisual product that has good voice acting and if it's not the same custom/standard dub voice I'm fine with it. In my case, thing is that most of the time I feel any ...... reply
I prefer sub obviously. 'not used to it' I've tried sometimes when I'm too lazy to read but I can't,dub is trash and will forever be to me. The cringe ass screaming just hurts my ears. Ugh disgusting. reply
Everyone claiming dubs are just generally bad, if you primarily watched modern dubs, and first, all subs would sound bad instead. You realize that, right? Modern dubs are extremely high quality. But you're not used to them, so you don't like them. With rare exceptions, almost all modern dubs are, at least in VA quality (...silently laments JoJo nam...... 3 reply
It really just depends on the anime. If I watched a dubbed anime first and tried listening to the subbed, I would think it would sound a bit awkward. But then again, if I watched the subbed version first (which I usually do) then I would feel awkward watching the dubbed. Sub all the way. Only because Dub can be wayy too cringy and not all animes have a Dub so there's a lot of good underrated ones that'll never get one. 1 reply
