I hate a lot of "hate -> love" romance plots, but I've also come to love a few.
My only logical reason is because most of them feel so forced. Like "wow these guys really hate each other" and then forced kisses next scene. (Can be considered slide-show syndrome, a very bad syndrome that's found in most amateur writers.)
