My first Yaoi experience was "Hana Wa Saku Ka" by Hidaka Shoko. It was an amazingly beautiful and romantic and funny story. My 2nd fav is also beautiful, "Sono Mama De", such a wonderful story!

...was an awful one. My friends always praised the yaoi part of the force and listed some for me to start on. I really don't remember the title but it was full of rape, weak characters, abusive lovers and much more violence than necessary. The art was beautiful, but the plot was nasty.. really hated.

It's kinda funny, as a kid, I used to really not like BL; but then again, I was only 10 or so and had pretty conservative parents.
