Calling you useless every time is a bit insensitive but depending on the kind of people they are that might be fine. Also how far do they go in punishing you? It depends on that if it's abuse or not. reply
There's a distinct line between abuse and discipline. A parent should never call their child useless or talk down to them even when they're angry. A parent also shouldn't hurt their child out of anger. If you feel like your parents are causing physical or psychological harm to you without provocation then you could call someone for help.
