Probably because they are something I would never be or they have something i could never have. I love all those beautiful looking characters because they fill in me the insecurities and I just imagine me as them.I don't know how to exactly explain this but for eg Maki..I like how cool and outspoken and powerful she is and how she stands out. While reading fictional works we create somewhat of a parasocial relationship with the characters. Our brain doesn’t understand that it's not real. Given that narration gives us an insight into a character’s inner thoughts, their motivations, and their thought processes, it’s sometimes easier to empathise and connect with fictional characte...... 2 reply
