people just buy into the whole "having kids is just what you do" lifescript mindset. People don't even think about the hard reality that having kids creates in one's life. They just picture the instagram kodak moments everyone puts up on social media for clout and likes and convincing themselves and everyone else that "having kids is the most rewarding/fulfilling thing they can ever do" when in reality those kodak moments are interspersed between long periods of misery, drama, lack of sleep and annoying expectations from family and society to be the perfect parent 24/7. people use their intuitive and research when it comes to buying a new house, buying a new car, changing jobs, getting a tattoo, getting a pet but when it comes to having children all of a sudden, they lose their critical thinking skills??
