Compared to all the people who answered before me - yes, my parents know.
My mom is an artist, so she is open to this stuff. Also, she watches gay series and gay movies, and she also watched some good yaoi anime, but did not read yaoi manga. Moreover, to her personal project she draws gays!

1) When the top is younger and immediately they're superior and are usually smarter that the older bottom. Like when they don't use honorifics or they're rich and smart but the bottom (despite being a working adult) is poor and dumb. This one is just a personal preference. Actually I got into yaoi because of a friend, who was into gay stuff. By then I was only a year or so into anime as a whole, but I knew that were gays and lesbians and others of not traditional orientation.
I don't know what was my first yaoi, or how did I get to read it, but it surely was under the influence of that friend, who was sending shoun...... reply
I think i will not stop cause if I read yaoi it's making my mood better for seeing the uke and seem got happy together, when I'm feeling bad mood I go see yaoi. so until now, I had no intension for stop reading it neither in the future reply
