I really like omegaverse in theory. Being a med/psychology enthusiast/student, the trope really appeals to me because it feels like you're free to experiment with what consists of the human body, mind and society, from it's most basic to most refined needs and the whole "animal instinct vs human intelligence" trope. I like how omegaverse turns real...... 1 reply
OK so I don't really remember the first yaoi I've ever read but what I can remember right now I think it was Kami-sama no iutoori °~°; I accidentally pressed on something and it brought me to that manga lol reply
I'm not really into the omegaverse because I don't like stories where your whole being is pretty much dependent on your phenotype. I've never read any omegaverse fanfics, but I've read some manga and even though the sex is hot the whole situation of omegas is so unbalanced that no amount of hot sex can make me enjoy it. Also, I don't care for kids ...... reply
I'm not into it because of the dog-like lower anatomy, cough (sometimes used in some A/B/O stuff, not all) and mpreg parts of it. I can't believe I'm gonna expose myself but I'll admit, I really like seeing characters when they're really turned on (all the sweat, their blushing faces being a mess, and their expressions are the best part) and that works well in the omegaverse world with all the pheromones ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Especially when they're able to do it intensely as mu...... 1 reply
In my opinion, the 'mate for life' concept is very appealing. Once you're 'bitten' you physically can't cheat and you'll love that person for life. And obviously the fact that all omegaverse is yaoi or at least the majority - since I haven't come across a shoujo omegaverse manga - makes it sexier and the uke is often portrayed as the omega - the on...... reply
Mangas' take on omegaverse is pretty...primitive tbh. xD I would honestly suggesting reading more of the well-written omegaverse fics on sites like Archive of our Own. The concept itself is pretty versatile from typical Alpha/Omega norms to prejudice towards a certain class to even characters development against stigma. It's really up to the author...... reply
