Get To Know You

As a consumer of romance based media I have an idea in my head of some of the ways love is represented. Nervousness, happiness and anger etc. But as someone who has never experienced love in a romantic sense what is correct? should these be taken as fact to be representations of love, or over exaggerated metaphors? Try to keep comparing it to other forms of "like" or "love" out of it since it may not apply to all and in my case even when I like friends or think someone is cute it's mostly a conscious thing not an emotional thing.

Should I take the emotional reactions from reading a romance and becoming emotionally attached to the characters to be similar to feelings of love?

Curious to see what people send and I also actually kinda want to know.
