I think the problem is that it's a completely worn out trope, and it's really boring. There are a couple of series I've read that play with it really well, but straight up harem series al la Love Hina have had their moment. reply
I don’t like cheating. If my partner cheated on me, I wouldn’t be able to look at him the same way I did before. The trust between us would fall apart. Same goes if I was the one who cheated on him. But given the fact that I find cheating disgusting I doubt I’ll ever do it. It’s just straight damn disrespectful to your partner in my opinion...... 1 reply

I do read omegaverse from time to time but I am not really a fan of it.
Most of the stories have the same boring repetitive plot, the omega is really dense 90% of the times and the alpha is portrayed as if he’s a beast who just wants to mate. Also I feel like the whole “i couldn’t control myself because of your pheromones” is just an excus...... reply

you should read Kiraide Isasete, maybe that manga can show you that not all omegaverse are the same. I actually hated omegaverse before I read this one, now I love omegaverse, but just like any other type of story or genre, you will find good ones and bad ones. reply
I personally like it cause I have an impregnation/breeding fetish, so just the idea of an omegaverse gets me off more than other storytelling concepts would... BUT the stories that actually come out of it ARE shitty for the most part and writers don't do anything interesting with the concept at all; the only omegaverse plotline I genuinely enjoyed ...... 1 reply
