Get To Know You

I need some serious advice. So, last year I had an A in physics cause I raised my hand and stuff but now I can't answer the questions she asks even if I want to and it's so frustrating. No matter how much I study I can't get the things we do in class in my head and the fact that i live in a country whose language im still learning doesnt help. (Most of the time I need to translate what the teacher says cause I'm fucking slow at understanding what she means)
And its not like I'm afraid of raising my hand or smt I just can't raise it
I have the same problem in maths and politics.
How do I get myself to raise my hand more often??
