I feel like a lot of people who are used to streaming services don't know the work that fan translation groups put into their projects. I got into anime and manga a little under 10 years ago and most series you'd have to read/watch illegally. tiktok is fucking weird. You get to see racists openly saying whatever and then having to apologize. Not bc they feel sorry but are sorry for getting caught. Straight tiktok is where 10-12 year olds thirst over people who are bad but will go to lengths to support them. TikTok is controlled by people who shadowban others for talking abt injustice. Honestly Tik tok is the only thing that's entertaining to me lately but i only like a few aspects of the app. I absolutely hate straight tik tok. That side of the app is full of weird cringe dances and influencers who have probably said the n word yet are still popular. I usually stick to the alt side of the app (the good side).
