A lot of my friends are bts fans, but some have been low key over it since they're embarassed over other fans? (but really every fandom will have some bad cases) Honestly, to see a foreign media like anime and kpop become a little mainstream is cool.

I don't know a whole lot since I'm not a k-pop stan in general but I know for a fact that they are all about self-love (none of that white washing bs) when it comes to their fans (korean beauty standards are another subject). In my opinion, they kinda, I mean influence has nothing to do with an artist being good, imo they don’t even inspire people, their whitewash skin is influencing heavily on people
