Basically if you sit and stare at a computer, yelling at yourself in your head to start the essay/assignment/email, and you just sit. And stare. And then go back in bed because you just get so tired from staring at a computer telling yourself to do the computer thing. It's great.

Mislead and Misinform. It's not lying, so don't feel guilty. Just say something that's convincing enough for them to shut up and easy to backtrack on if you feel like being truthful later. reply

My mum does that. I just change the conversatIon and redirect her attention to something else. You don't have to lie but you can answer it in a nonspecific way as well and complain about something else.

If you’re not ready just don’t say anything. If they ask you just stay quiet and immediately leave the area so they can’t press you, like for example say you have to go to the bathroom or meet up with a friend or like, “idk.
