both were suspended for about week, and when they went back to school, they would have to apologize formally to each other.

During the span of that week, Connor couldn’t stop thinking about how long they had locked eyes for. He had finally noticed how pretty his eyes were. Jakes eyes always seemed cold and hard, but they were so soft in that moment.

Same went for Jake. Connor had always been loud and obnoxious, but when he fell on top of Connor, he looked flustered and not composed. He wandered around his house, trying to get the image of Connors face out of his mind. But he couldn’t and eventually gave up.

As rumors flooded the school about why they fighted, the pressure between the two friend groups was growing larger. It was soon going to be time for Jake and Connor to face each other at school.
