I have once. I was trying to buy a bed frame secondhand and was told to cashapp a reservation fee for $15. It was a scam and I never got the bed frame and the scammer used their real name and picture and cashapp so….super weird. But at least it was only $15.   reply

Rather than calling this a scam…it’s more like voluntary robbery So was in the first year of in-person college, which was when I moved into this off-campus student housing. Yes. It was a pyramid scheme/MLM scam. When I was a broke freshman college student, I was looking for easy money making opportunities. Then I saw a bunch of those "join this company and post ads, then get paid for it!". They'd show their weekly earnings averaging $500 per week and I was like, oh, I can do that for that much money.
