Here's a drawing of mine, reference is a pic of a male model. I have a blog of sort too you can visit me there if you are interested http://blambodee.com/   2 reply

Two things that I always keep in mind to improve my drawing. First is drawing everyday at anytime I can. Usually when I'm in classes or something like that lol ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. Really, when I'm on holiday I draw much less than I normally do. Secondly, observe and try to make a recreation on the paper of each and every single things around me at ......   reply

Well, to get a great skills on drawing we need to practice. However I am a lazy ass and procrastinating a lot, so I use a little push of motivation by doing art-trade. Me and a friend always give each other a request to draw something specific and make a due date to show the drawing. It makes our drawing-practices much more fun, and I slowly get be......   2 reply

References, and observation. Recently, someone asked me to draw a tractor, and at first it was ugly, because i didn't really knew how a tractor really looked like, so i just drew my idea of a tractor: 2 little wheels, 2 big wheels, a cabin on top. But if you search "Tractor" on Google, you can see that there's actually much more. So this is my advi......   1 reply

The answer might be cliche but it really is true: practice a lot. I start my realistic drawing by imitating other's works. Only for practicing tho. And then when I finally get a full grasp of my drawing style, I start to draw what I want to. Sometimes I just absentmindedly draw something on my notebooks. The point is just make your hand get used to......   2 reply

One drawing a day in a sketchbook. I mean observational drawing (I am not sure if it is the right word). It is a really good exercise, because at the beggining you will try to draw something beautiful, or inspiring but after a few weeks, you will get "bored" of drawing, and then, if you push yourself to do it, you will start to draw everything and ......   2 reply

I wish I could draw better than I do, but I haven't spent enough time at it to truly develop a my skills/style yet. But what will make you better, to a degree, kind of depends on what drawing style you want. Abstract, surrealistic, simple black line, or whatever, but if you are interested in a realistic style of drawing - living things - I have a......   1 reply

Practice is of course the best way to get better, but I know that sometimes I have trouble staying inspired. For me, the best way to get inspired is to look at other people's art on tumblr and Pinterest; for example I like to look up character design on Pinterest. There's some pretty cool things on there! Like others say, practice makes perfect. Keep practicing. You can see tutorials or something else, but practicing is the best way to improve (in my case). Because you can see how to draw something you still don't understand, but don't imitate how others draw it, draw it with your style, keep practicing and voila, then you will understand it yoursel......   2 reply
