Straight romances have glorified toxic relationships since decades and they always sell the most. Popular bl authors just follow the trend ig. And look at the success rates, most of the time its the ones with complicated relationships that catches the audiences attention. I think it's not BL genre alone that glorifies toxic relationships, romance genre in general glorifies it. Why? Maybe because it sells? Most readers likes it, the angst, the dramas and how the characters manage to make their toxic relationship work. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ reply
