My First Boyfriend

Some context: its not my phone. It's my mum's second phone, which means she still uses it. I told my dad about it the night it happened, at an evening party, which my mother did not attend. And, I spilled water on the phone. I told my dad, and he put it in a bag of rice grains when we went to his house. My parents live seperately.

The next afternoon, I returned home to my mum's house, and mega panicked. The phone was not turning on. Yikes. The day after, in the morning, my father called to ask if the phone was working. I lied, because my family was around.

I need to know what to do. I don't have my own phone to call my dad, and I'm afraid of what will happen when my mother finds out. The stress is real, I cannot sleep - I only think about what will happen. I just dream of solutions but nothing happens.
