Have An Unpopular Opinion

I don't get love triangles, like, what was the point of those millions of chapters just for the main character to end up with the obvious choice? Do you realize the potential of enemies to lovers story? For them to ditch the main character for each other? Do you realize how much commotion you would have created? If done correctly, you would gain more exposure and make maybe a shit ton of money. I mean, if it's like "I Love Yoo", where both the MLs are siblings then I understand or where the MLs are so fucking toxic to each other to the point where they would kill each other if they had the opportunity to.
