Unfortunately its usually only well done in mangas written by trans people themselves, otherwise they range from ok through cringe all the way to abysmal (´;︵;`)   reply

Alright, so slightly unpopular opinion coming in here (especially based on the responses to this question thus far) but I feel like a lot of people are confusing the whole "trans" thing when it comes to how it's represented in manga/manhwa/webtoons/etc. I also think ppl who complain that there's no or only very bad rep of it in manga/manhwa don't a......   reply

I haven't seen much manga or manhwa with transgender representation. If your looking for a read there's "Boys Run the Riot".   reply

Not gonna lie, it's not the best. Especially in older manga, where the trans character is in the background and always the butt of the joke. But I think there are some really good ones too, specially the ones who focus on the character and LGBTQ issues. Basically, like in every media, there are some good and some bad ones.
